Professor Bernie Carter

Megan has a broad background spanning clinical and non clinical roles which has given me direct experience of providing and managing front line services, as well as the strategic decision making process which enables them to deliver and succeed. She has experience of operational service management and of delivering service improvements at a local and regional level. Megan makes use of this background to form productive relationships with colleagues at all levels and call on these to inform my decision making.

Megan seeks to support, motivate, inspire and encourage those she works with, whilst continuously striving to improve her own performance and learn from others. She has a history of continuous professional development and continue to seek new opportunities to build on and improve her skills.

Role within CASTLE:

Megan is the management lead for the CASTLE study.

Previous experience:

Megan has 10 years experience in NHS management, in varying roles spanning project and operational management. She also has a registered nursing qualification and started my career in the NHS as a health care assistant.

Megan has been Service Manager in the Variety Children’s Hospital at King’s College Hospital since June 2014, and in Fenruaury 2016 took over the management of the paediatric neurology service.
